About user:
At the risk of "being not too well liked"(by SOME who fish saltwater) I have lived and worked on over 20 commercial fishing vessels, beginning in December of 1979. Before that,I had worked the deck, of 3 different tugboats/pushboats in & around the Morgan City Oilfield/trips in the ICW & some rivers beginning September of 1976,to early 1979. I worked the deck & engine room of a 165ft. Supply Boat in late '79 out of Venice, LA (Office in Golden Meadow).
The last week of '79, I started killing seafood, for a living, at Port Canaveral, FL.. From there I worked out of Stock Island and eventually north to Buzzard's Bay; as far south as the Yucatán and as far west as the Brazos River.
Just so you don't think I'm "a quitter", or "can't get along with people"; fully 9 of those 20+ FV's were "Captained by" only 3 individual men,4 others by only 2 men, and there ain't one of the rest, that wouldn't have me back, if I was 20 years younger and fit for duty.
