We had Russian Sage lining our driveway at our last house. Good xeric plant and pretty when in flower with the blue flowers, but man, did it attract bees!

I have lavender in my back yard. It also attracts the honey bees. I'm taking that as a good sign. This year I've had dragon flies and bats buzzing my pool - bats in the evening as the dusk is arriving. Even had a bat in my house over the weekend. All good signs of a healthy environment. Especially those dragon flies - they need clean water to reproduce. I'm gonna try the Russian Sage - I really like the look of it.

If you plant some keep an eye on it in subsequent years--it likes to spread via rhizomes and can pop up everywhere.

If you give it try, Spirit, you have to really baby it the first few years, plenty of water, plenty of sun, and it doesn't like competition. Let me know if you need any help I'll do what I can.
