Hello Everyone who's reading this,
I am from Southern California Los Angles Area,
If any one has any question about fishing this area let me know. I do a allot of surf fishing. From walking the beach or targeting fish that hang out in the rocks. I also fish for fresh water fish. However I am not that much of a bass fisherman. Well thanks for reading.

Michael

I use inflated πŸͺ± with night Crawlers. When I fish for trout to keep it off the bottom. And power floating bait also for trout.
But not saying that you will not catch other fish!!
For trout you always want to use leader line from 18 to 24 " in length. And as light as possible 2lb test floral if possible. And use egg weight .
So you set up like this hook leader line, barrel swivel egg weight to main line. The reason for egg weight is when the trout picks up the bait it dose not feel the weight on the line !! Very important when lake fishing here. And keep your drag very light also important.
Good luck fishing any other question we will try to help.

Perfect, sometimes in summer when shore fishing you might add a casting bubble, adding as much water for weight to get you to deeper cooler water, also past weeds or crap. On reel side above small sliding sinker.

Carolyn fyi learn to set up your equipment by watching videos. Then pick up a practice weight and you can practice casting in the yard or park my grandkids hung a tire in a tree and a hoola hoop on the ground to practice casting

I know it can get kinda slow over there in the summer when it's hot and it's been hot as blazes up here lately. But Saw1 and bassmatter have been doing pretty well over at Sonoma and around Windsor. They're not far from Clear Lake. That's a big lake, gonna be just a matter of finding em. And if you'd you like to catch a big channel cat, there's plenty of those in there and this is the right time of year - we're talkin 20, 30 pounds or so.

Another good day for bass fishing today! This time on Mather Lake 2ft from the edge with a dark Yamamoto craw. The Lord blessed me with 2 today! Good luck out there!

Nice. Thanks for sharing. I've been over there a couple of times this year - no luck, but I was trout fishing early in the year. Like that smile! So many post on here and they look like somebody just shot their dog. You look like you were enjoying yourself and that's what it's all about imo.

Nice going Jim! Never fished Mather Lake. I assume it's now open to the public. How much did the fish weigh? Looks like a lunker!

I didn’t have a scale with me but I would estimate 6-7 lbs.
