Living in Minnesota. We also have a TIP program, ( Turn In Poachers ) I am also a member of the TIP, inc. which the overview linked with Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. People whom, do turn in people theb believe to have overlimits and are not following the rules of hunting and fishing. If you TIP does prove to an arrest, that person can be awarded money or other objects. Search warrants will bring MNdnr, MN state Patrol, US fish and game officers. All total you could figure on 8 to 16 people going through all your property looking for all things that could fine that will find you over limit.

I am also a member of the TIP, Inc. as a fishing guide and Taxidermist, I will defend our natural resources.

Are there not possession limits in Ohio and Texas? Here in Iowa you have 25 limit per day but a possession limit of 50?

Yes and here in WA, you can't have caught all on same day. Also if you say, well half were caught my my fishing buddy, well you better have a letter from your buddy. Same goes if you have your "BUDDIE'S" Deer or elk transporting it, you better have that letter!

The discussion about possession limits got my attention so I looked it up
Ohio does not have a “possession limit” where by they can look in your freezer.
Daily bag limits and specified size limits apply.
Size limits are specified by lake or body of water Some are unspecified , others have limits of 9 inches minimum
On my home lake , we have a limit of 30 and min size of 9”
That’s pretty generous.
We generally toss em less than 9 1/2 . Don’t want any questions.

For fish 10-12 inch which is typical , a limit will fill 3 quart freezer bags.
It’s just me and the wife and we can’t eat a whole bag in one sitting.

Ben, after my first limit I filleted and saw how many I had, I decided if it’s just for me and my wife, ten is my limit. Sometimes I’m lucky to get ten.
