Hi Mr. FrenchieQ,
You must have a very nice & big bathtub :)
Zoey :)
I do Zoey! One of those that blows all kinds of water out through vents that keep the water roiling away. Makes it hard to see the fish!

Sounds Like a great idea and if the results are good I need to remember that. I am wondering if maybe could try to do that for Salmon. A plug cut herring is supposed to simulate a crippled herring ( baitfish). Salmon thrash as they swim aggressively through schools of baitfish then they circle back around behind the school of baitfish and feed on the crippled herring.
Set up with twist screw instead of hooks holding curly tails. That will make it legal. Then put your standard spoon or cut plug on center wire about a foot back tied on whatever line you normally use. No flasher or dodger needed as each unit provides its own action when trolling. RTKF

You can't use a top water plug that was made with 2 treble hooks?
Neat. I've never seen such a rig. Thanks for sharing. I would bet it would make bluefish go crazy!

What kinda rig is this. Looks like a tackle shop. What does it represent. What would hit it. Looks like you could catch more than one at a time. How do you fish it. Do you know any tricks to make it better.
This Rig I know is ILLEGAL in California!......3 Hooks per Line ONLY!.....Tight Lines!
Keep the blades highly shined.

That would be a freshwater type umbrella rig Mike.I've never fished one in that configuration, but have a tiny one with 5 blades and the only hooks are on the lure you put on the center leader. Saltwater wise we used many larger ones. Dragged them for Bluefish and Stripers back in the day.I've got at least 4sizes of them.the smallest on don't have a picture of. FIRST one is a simple 4hook.SECOND one is 4 teasers,4 hooks.THIRD one is called a 9er rig,4teasers 4hooks and a trailer, all paddle tail shad . The first 2usually used large spoon like a Krocodile for a trailer. Sorry about the poor picture quality, don't have a good background .

Ver, if you look close it only has 3 hooks. 2 are hookless
We used them this last fall and they work great!! Can only use three hooks in California but all the flashers, etc that you want. I also have a much larger one for salt water.

You mean no double or triple Trebles on a lure? That would suck!
I didnt know these were "outlawed" in bass fishing tournaments. I remember once, not that long ao really, that a mr. paul elias caught and won a bass tourny he was in, using an umbrella rig. He had such a grand total of weight" a record i think" that maybe thats why its now illegal to use in them contests? Poor sports were crying foul im sure.
WvMike, as others have stated their called umbrella rigs. In Missouri your allowed up to five leads but, only three can have single hooks. I've fished them with some nominal success. I prefer using a main line with one 18" leader about 18" with a three way swivel. I'm usually using this setup for Crappie with live bait(minnows). Tight lines.

doubles and triples count as one hook not sure about two or more on a lure
watched another tournament where a fisherman was using crankbaits for his pocket of bass and catches a bass that had an alabama rig still hanging from its lips.It was a legal catch too!
