What kinda rig is this. Looks like a tackle shop. What does it represent. What would hit it. Looks like you could catch more than one at a time. How do you fish it. Do you know any tricks to make it better.

That sir is an umbrella rig. Designed to mimic a school of bait fish. I have modified these with a center leader approximately 3 ft long with a jointed rubber swimbait behind looking as though it is chasing the school. Worked well but a tangled son of a gun!

That is an umbrella rig which I have used to troll for stripers on Lake Hartwell a few years back. We caught a bunch on chartreuse tails that day. That one pictured would be legal in WI as it only has 3 hooks. Be sure to check your local regulations regarding their use, though.

I made a bunch of them one Winter, used them in both salt and freshwater, got laughed right off the water. You want some, I'll give you them and pay the shipping.

Now I have to find one to tow behind the pontoon during a cocktail cruise. I bought a small one after I got back from GA, but have yet to try it. Will report on the results of the trial.
We must have caught well over 100# of stripers that day, the smallest being 5#.
If I can find the pics, I will send them.

Hi Mr. Mike
Beth and I bought a couple of these to try, the other one is green and yellow. One weights a half ounce and the other three quarters of an ounce. And we're going to add one more hook to each one. These are sold under the name of Ball Baits. And we have seen them under Alabama rig. These were a lot less expensive.

Zoey:)

Wvmike,
The others are correct, it’s an umbrella or Alabama rig. They can’t be used in most Bass Elite series tournaments. I’ve found the smaller versions to work better.
