Leatherman Wave. I have 2 other Leatherman, 3 other multi-tools and 2 hunting knives (can't remember the name brands at the moment). I take the Wave Leatherman on my belt for all my fishing excursions since this is the only one with the spring-loaded pliers. I also take fishing pliers with me to reach the gut-hooks and to use on the small split rings on crank baits, etc.

My wave doesn't have spring loaded pliers.

Yes, the Cold Steel german steel knives are outstanding for the short money they get.Other fav pocket knives are opinel, carbon or st. steel, kershaw onion, and Puma. I find Bucks are heat treated too hard and brittle and intolerent of any bending forces.

Yeah, just try not to bend it then. I use it more for cutting. Plus the big brass end of my buck folder I've used as a hammer more than just a few times.

Fishing today. These went with me. That's a nonskid strip on the handle of the leatherman, and there's on on the other side. Keeps it in my hand and out of the water.

Spirit I learned that I had moments when gravity took over items in my hands at times. I bought and carry a magnet whenever I go fishing so as to retrive those items. Saved me a reel.

It would be first page news, 2 inch block print if I had. No fish. I saw one guy who caught 1, he'd been there since daylight. Nary a twitch. Nice day. Stumpy Meadows, about 5000 ft. Got up into the low 90's. I went down to the shore and set up, tried a little of everything I had, then moved up to the boat launch/parking lot area and fished from the railing for about an hour and a half, nodded off in my chair. Very relaxing.
