I also retired 2 years ago. Done a Lot more fishing now than before. Golfed lot more than I fished but rotator cuff surgery took care of that. Now I fish lot more than I golf, wife is my fishing partner.

Tank - thanks for the response. Number of times a week you go fishing?

Now I fish every day. Especially with a dock, canoe and a kayak although I brought my clubs from California still can't swing them the way I like to.

Thanks Tank. Be grateful for each day and what we can still do. Right?

Eastern WA, noted for ice fishing, not so great for disabled vets, so from Oct-Mar, not much but research and yearning.
However with several boats available, I and fishing partner try at least to make a trip a week in the intervening months, no less than three a month, out to local lakes. (75 in the local area, says the chamber of commerce, but we haven't found all of them).

thank you G. I am grateful to be able to fish every day.
I fish usually twice a week in the winter and when spring hits three to four times a week until winter.
Like a lot of these guys I try to get out a couple times a week. Especially during the spring. I get out crappie fishing in the early spring just after ice out, off the bank if the crappie aren't biting. Then a dead fish for pike. Once it warms I go bass fishing 2-3 times a week or if the weather is cold or windy I take my other boat trolling for kokanee or big trout. After spring when it starts getting hot out I stay kokanee fishing a day a week and an evening or two smallmouth fishing, in between those times if the walleye bite is on I'll switch to them for a night bite once a week. If I m not doing all that then I'll fish an evening on our local river fly fishing for cutthroat trout. Sept means archery elk or deer. Back to kokanee fishing day a week and fly trout till Nov then muzzleload elk and deer till month end. Soon as ice is set it's a day or two a week till spring rolls around.
Well it depends on my schedule.. Walleye fishing on Lake Erie is awlsome yr around.. So I'd go every day if possible or until I get burned out lols..So far theres been no ice to contend with & things r looking great weeks ahead.. Back in the 50s again !!!
