What fights better, snook or largemouth bass pound per pound?
Yep, here I go and catch Spot then if small put them on the heavy rod for Rock fish/Stripers. If they are good sized I cut the head off and use that for bait, the rest I can clean and take home to eat. So I catch spot and have fun or catch spot and then catch 3-5 Cats or Stripers and really have fun. In Maryland they call Striped Bass Rock fish. Like calling Sea Trout, Speckled Trout. Names change but the fish is the same.
Some times they call them Weak Fish but those are different.
Amazing how many fish have different names, but are the same fish.
Bass short and stumpy, snook long and spanky with a racing stripe! If you put a bass one one end and a snook on the other, the snook is so spanky don`t think a bass stands a chance!
Even smaller saltwater fish lb. per lb. fight harder because there are more predators trying to eat them!
Snook 24/7 . Bass, no contest and never happen in my life time!π€¦ββοΈπ€π€¦ββοΈπ€π€¦ββοΈπ€π€¦ββοΈπ€π€¦ββοΈ

I like to eat fish, only thing that is better than catching them.

being a black bass (large mouth) enthusiast
I say pound for pound its the black bass
here's one caught in Lake Houston on a green centipede
I see you never got a real fish π£!! Go salt water π¦ and see how a real fish π£ fights!!! The snook is dinomite to catch and eat!! You would give up freshwater fishing π£ like I did!! Salt water fishing, you NEVER know what is at the end of the line!! It could be lost treasures on the bottom like Mal Fisher found in the Keys!!! Love saltwater fishing!!! Try it, you will love β€οΈ it!!! You canβt go wrong!!!
I always know what's on the other end, the wife says it is one jerk waiting for the other.

Mine no longer does either but she is patient with me.
Thank God.
After 68 years of fishing freshwater, saltwater, piers, banks, boats, kayaks, dams, (you get the point) my observation is that any saltwater species fights harder than freshwater species if you go pound per pound. Try reeling in a 25 pound grouper up from the bottom with a Penn 4/0 and you will understand.
