If you never met a rich farmer you must never worked in the farming business. So Taxpayers owe them? Don't you have to pay for groceries? Do the farmers just drop all their farmed goods at the store and never get paid anything? You know what tax deferrals are? Do farmers ever pay their fair share of taxes? Do they always whine about taxes but expect to get subsidies and bailouts?

Are you sure? Have you ever seen farmers tax returns? You ever done all the bogus accounting for a farmer? Just curious why your so sure farmers really pay their fair share of all taxes. I have seen otherwise. My friend is a local farmer and recommended I farm just to get out of paying my fair share of taxes.

Were you considering relocating out to the WEST COAST? It is a warm and sunny location but if reality serves you correctly it seems you should concern yourself with your location not somewhere else. I’m glad you finally chimed In lol ya I’ve farmed my whole life and I don’t know about your friend telling you to farm to hide taxes being your friend explains about all we need to know about him but yes out here we pay taxes just like everyone else if you think there is such a thing as fair taxes my point was in his first statement he said greedy politicians leased the land for 99 years over a hundred years ago therefore if you’re mad at the farmers you should equally be mad at the politicians and youns sure have some dandys out that way for sure and the council v**ed to decide which levee to bust to save the town so if the farmers are in there legal rights to be there and they v**ed to flood them they should be compensated for the damage just like anyone else and lastly the lease ran out years ago if they just leased it so your new great politicians that you all v**ed for oughta be able to do something about it if you land lovers want it turned back into a pond talk to your representatives I just don’t see how your going to get upset at a farmer just because he is successful and looks like he employs quite a few people that depend on them and not be upset with the ones you v**ed for that can actually do something about it

Ya according to the articles written about the lake and drainage ditches they also built them to help build cities out there and bring water to the citizens not just so the evil cotton farmer could get rich

I am not a fan of big corporations over the common folks. I know they will never care about what damage is done. They will expect subsidies instead of farming it is sad. I go broke at Grocery Stores and I don't feel guilty for being a taxpaying American. I disagree with constant free rides for big business. If they supply American Jobs why are they International Corporations?

I thought the point of posting on here was to discuss the issue that’s what we were trying to do I just saying don’t get mad at one side and not all the ones involved and if they busted the levee on your land and ruined your stuff to save the others you would want compensation for your stuff also just like they asked for and if you read the articles about the building and drainage of the lake they also done it so they could build cities and support them not just for the big mean farmers

You are quite confused. I don't live in California but I also do not look down my nose at anyone that lives loves or enjoys their free American life there. Their means people by the way. There is a location. Is it a trait to always tell everyone else that whoever or wh**ever their v****g right should be approved by some guy in a different location? It turns my stomach to hear some people when it comes to taxes in this country. They love their Police Fire and roads Parks etc. but by golly I shouldn't need to pay anything for it all.

I don’t mind a bit to pay taxes and enjoy the benefits of them I don’t like handed it out to people that do not contribute though and enjoy the same pleasures and benefits that we do and I’m not the one v****g for the i***ts that holler defund the police and burn their buildings down in peaceful protests and run the stores out of the state because they let criminals run around and steal everything they want instead of paying for it like normal people i just saying oughta get your heads out from under the rocks and look around at who’s running things
