Wasn't complaining about food ,they farmed Cotton ! You know so much about our Central San Joaquin Valley you should have known that before you turned this to private politics maybe ?

You hit the nail on the head Wulffy, I've lived here for 64 years + 4 away in the Corps, if you could only see how the rivers turn into canals & irrigation ditches it's a sad thing to see over the years. JG Boswell leased / owned over 150,000 acres of land ,I don't know why Rheatown turned this into politics, issues I guess, What I'm talking about is what was lush wetlands and lake is now nothing! And unless Rheatown eats Cotton at his table he doesn't have to worry about food from this farmer that what they almost always farmed was Cotton.. Lord knows I grew up on my Grandfather's Orange Orchard Ranch, which my Uncle still runs to this day ,3 cousins that are die hard crop farmers(food)too 👍

I wouldn’t trying to turn it political in your initial statement you said all the land was leased to them by greedy politicians that didn’t even own the land I was merely pointing out if you didn’t approve of the way things are running you might consider not v****g the i***ts in to power to run your state

And to the point of cotton I don’t suppose it’s as important as corn or soybeans but as far back as I can remember we’ve always put cottonseed in the cattle feed to help with milk production that being said we have this g****l w*****g going on out here from all the cow farts supposed to get back in teens next week so I kinda appreciate clothing they make from the rest of the useless cotton

you are missing one important point out here the majority of the v**ers live in the big cities and as hard as it is to believe they seem to enjoy or at least approve of what is going in. sure crime is up, homelessness is up, drug use and drug deaths are up and taxes are up but they seem to see it as everything is looking up so stay the course and keep giving the free stuff out and v**eing for the same people and same party. I know living back there in TN. this may sound crazy but our here I the enlightened west it makes perfect sense

I think you are correct if you build your farm on a flood plain don't complain when it floods that was the risk you accepted. you take the risk you reap the reward or loss and if I don't share in the gain I shouldn't share in the loss

Ok I couldn’t find much info on it so they’ve bought it instead of just leasing on bright side looks like B*M is got at least 7000 acres of it trying to do the right thing and fix it sounds like it once was a beautiful place I suppose most of it will be another natural treasure lost for the advancement of mankind

I would argue that Tulare is only the 2nd largest lake west of the Mississippi. California had a much larger one (500+ square miles) in 1862.

Here's a good article on it...
