Who among us remembers those training wheels coming off?

Or that parent nearly running along our side helping us keep our balance?

Well safe to say we all have been on our own for quite some time.

Shaky as it may seem, let’s keep moving forward.

Thank a parent today for making you feel safe.

Never had training wheels nor a parent’s hand. Just learned by trial and error the way I’ve learned most everything else. I did, however, learn and that is a good thing.👍😃

I can’t remember the year, but I remember the bike…a Schwinn Pixie from my Dad’s Uncle in Chicago. The story was that it “fell off a railroad car”
That was their story and they stuck to it. Funny, but it didn’t seem “hot” when I rode it, but I was a terror on that thing. Those training wheels were not on long…

Again trial and error. Every error taught me to hide the knuckles from the yardsticks 😬😬😬

Good morning, plum. We had one bike between the two of us, no idea where it came from. I just got on and started riding it. Thank you and have a good day.

See, the nuns did have a hand in your up bringing. To bad it was your hands being the end result to that yardstick.

Same here GW. My old man brought a bicycle home from work one day. I was in 2nd grade. Ride it up n down the alley till supper. Got home from school next day to find he took it work n sold it. Never had another till after I was divorced. Bought a MTN bike to ride the towpath n find places to fish in the Potomac river. 1st bike after divorce didn't have peddles. Learned about everything the hard way 🤕😁
