Mainly … let’s have fun talking boats. Outboards. Inboard outboard. Hotrod flat bottoms. Whatever
Mine is a 12" 6" porta-bote. A porta-bote is a folding boat. It folds down to 4" for travel. You can launch the boat anywhere. Plus it's so quiet, the space age siding and floor is what does it. Check it out at Porta-bote.com. I really love mine🚤❤. Tight lines.

Doesn’t it really hit home? Especially with the boats? The half running truck.

I am scared to. My parents are Motorhome ( FMCA ) people. Many have them. I had offers to go but I stayed at coach.
Be safe and have fun.

Sounds like a fast setup.
When I was a kid, Dad bought a second-hand Sea King, 12 hp. When we went to the lake or river, he'd take that motor along and rent a rowboat to put it on. This was in the early 1950's, and a lot of the people we rented boats from weren't so sure about us putting such a 'big' motor on the rowboat. Of course today, no one would ever blink at the idea of that much motor on a rowboat. They might wonder if it'd be enough! It was on Big Bear lake east of Los Angeles, when Dad first let me take the tiller. Wow, I felt ten feet tall!
So, my first boating experience wasn't "A" boat, it was many boats! We put a zillion miles on that little motor!

Awesome…When daddy let me drive. I rented boats on that lake. To be honest I think my Buddy Tommy’s Dad or my dad probably had to rent it. Our dads played music and were doing a gig up there so Tommy and I asked our dads if we could rent a boat. I’m thinking we were probably too young to rent them but it was a really longtime ago. Like probably 1979.
My dad actually played in The Chevelles and The Roulettes in the 60’s.
In Big Bear he played in the Tyrolleans a German Polka Band really popular for Oktoberfests.
The first boat I bought was a 1962 Wooden Clippercraft with a 1959 Evinrude Lark 35-40hp. I bought from my best friend. He told me the engine was missing and was definitely repairable. I took it to local Boatyard that specializes in classic stuff. I also had called Outboard Mechanic and asked about the engine etc. I was told it is pretty much bulletproof. Well I got some basic information from the mechanic on the phone as well as live at the boatyard. I simply had to shim the breaker plate because it was worn and due to the slop ( oversized now ) the points wouldn’t stay at proper dwell. I shimmed it with aluminum can metal as temporary fix to use the boat. It ran excellent for about 5 years that way. I found the proper breaker plate and replaced it.

👍🏻
I bought a 10’ white water raft for a few places but it took a little while for the fear of hook popping it. It’s not really even a worry but at first it sure was.
A 1970 14' Fiberglass Criss craft with a 25Hp merc. Purchased from a friend in 2004.
No title, no papers, no reg # and a real pain to get a sticker for it.
To much motor but boy did it fly.

Probably not what you're looking for but...a sunfish sailboat. Sailed during the day, fished on pier at night Percy Priest Dam

How did you ever get it up there, John, how are you going to get it down. A 10'er, that's a good place for it. I used my 10'er flat to water the sheep with. It was the only thing it was good for. I used it once, tiped over and I wasn't going to go out in it again.
I put 2 screw in bike hooks into the roof joist and hung the transom handles on those for stability, then put another hook in another joist for the front and secured it with a rope. Easy peasy! It hangs above my duck boat.
