I'm with you on the stripers. I only fish them from the beach though. From a boat it's way too easy.

Funny you say that Fly…i have a boat now but only used it for a couple weeks..all the stripers i did catch were from the surf.

I believe all Freshwater Bass are considered Black Bass, Largemouth, Smallmouth and Spotted Bass.

TROUT, both ends of the size spectrum small and Steelhead and some talk about the link to Salmon.

Those are a completely different fish from the fish commonly called black sea bass on the west coast. There is also a Giant black sea bass

Freshwater black bass is another name for large mouth bass.
