Bang those quackers Andy, even if you’re going out in camo T shirts. It’s 8* here right now, I’m envious.

The temp. got up to a +10 this afternoon so I went out and fed the pheasants and birdies. I have two big feeders for the birds and I throw some shelled corn out about half of a doz. places under the pine trees for the pheasants. I feed them about every three days, and there will usually be some bird feed left, but not any corn. Everybody and his brother help themselfs to the corn. I have tried to take some pictures of the phesants and post them, but I can't get close enough. They run away, they do not fly much.

Good for you Fly, those critters need a little help in the cold winter once in a while. When I was still working, we had a handful of Quail show up one spring. The next couple years their numbers just blew up. I started feeding during the winter months at our Shop everyday. Usually just Birdseed, dut did add a little Hen Scratch once in awhile when the Temps Dropped. They got looking forward to it and would show up as soon as I walked away. Got to be about 84 of them, it was cool just seeing them.
