Nice mounts Bob!
Most of our natural birds are gone due to lack of natural habitat, too. The dog (at 13) doesnโ€™t care.
Good luck Andy!

Going Duck hunting tomorrow.

Bang those quackers Andy, even if youโ€™re going out in camo T shirts. Itโ€™s 8* here right now, Iโ€™m envious.

There's one invasive species I've never heard a single complaint about. Much nicer than the huge snakes and iguanas in Florida.

The cardinals and the doves usually come early and late, but now that it is so cold out they are there all of the time. I will go through 50#s of sunflower seeds and 50#s of shelled corn about every three weeks. Marion says those damn birds eat better than we do. I just chuckle and say I like my birdies.

50# of each ? Your doing pretty good, my wife has you beat tho, she has too many birds to keep track of plus a couple dozen Chipmunks . Those little guy's can carry off 10# a day ! You don't even want to know what 8 or 10 Turkeys can do ! I keep telling her I am going to get them SS #'s and claim the darn things on our Taxes !

The temp. got up to a +10 this afternoon so I went out and fed the pheasants and birdies. I have two big feeders for the birds and I throw some shelled corn out about half of a doz. places under the pine trees for the pheasants. I feed them about every three days, and there will usually be some bird feed left, but not any corn. Everybody and his brother help themselfs to the corn. I have tried to take some pictures of the phesants and post them, but I can't get close enough. They run away, they do not fly much.

Don't get to see many pheasants where I'm living now but where I grew up in the woods in Massachusetts they were everywhere ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘

Funny how many of us have noticed the downfall of the Pheasant population. I havenโ€™t seen a pheasant in at least 5 years, we had them all over the state at one time. Grouse are even scares since the state planted Turkeys.
