My spot, I really enjoy pulling into this cove and just watching. Eagles, deer, raccoons, blue herons and many other critters visit this spot quite often and it's always a welcome spot just to forget the pains and ills of the day. Oh yea it's a great spot to catch a Smallmouth bass too, that's a plus. I don't look forward to the day I can't get there but this is where I intend to have my ashes scattered, hay might as well feed the fish I've been catching for so many years.

My that would make a great 1000 piece puzzle Ivey. But hold off on the ashes thing. Might deter the sale. Thanks for an awesome pic.

I have seen quite a few of your pics Cat that you have posted. Gods country for sure. I can see why you have many spots.

This was one of my favorite spots
for early-season trout fishing back
in N.H. - Ferrin's Pond is a secluded, hike-in pond that now takes about
20 - 30 minutes to hike up to, as it
is at the crest of a small knoll ! It is only 18 acres and about 12 ft. deep, but a good spot for early-season
trout !

Back in the late-70s/early-80s
I could drive my 4x4 pick-up up that really rough, washed-out road and
just drop my small (10-ft.) jonboat
in right off the tailgate - a few years later they blocked vehicle access by dropping huge boulders across the road, so now it is strictly a hike-in location, which means that it is
usually very, very quiet ! There is
a trail that circles the pond in a
1.9 mile loop, so the pond can be waded from several different locations around its' perimeter !
This was one of my favorite spots br for early-se... (show quote)

That pic is saying rod and reel required to enter. That is a bummer about the boulders Big A. Hook up that 4x4 to one or two and give them a roll.

👍🏻 Is it on your lake or somewhere else?

Yea it's on Tim's Ford just a very short ride from the dock bordering TVA land so it should always be natural, no houses or docks.

How old are people that constantly have cellphone in their hands even if out fishing?

What age group are usually anti-cellphone types?

Mornin', John. You can at least watch the cars go by. Have a good one.

Mornin', plum, another winner, thanks plum, you have a good one too, my friend.

Will be off for a few days, we're leaving soon to head to west point, arriving early morning and rest up before loading ready for returning to Texas. Selling boat and will close on the house by Friday afternoon.
Had Drs visit today and will be starting chemo and radiation in 2weeks. Back Sunday for MRI. So far all is looking good.
Good night everyone, weekends coming up,enjoy.

My original post about Flytier spot was about not being able to hang out with your buddies.

The place he is mentioning looks and sounds awesome. Just look at the whole thing. Gotta be young or over 65. Neat place but the age thing by the planners seem strange. If your 62 your not allowed there.

Here is your original post that shows up on my end. Still don't see a cellphone reference or as you say not fishing with his buddies.

PB that reminds me of a spot I fished once last spring while searching for a boat. It's just over the border in MD. If I remember it's called Sunrise Pond. Small pond of maybe an acre, stocked with panfish, cats and trout with four or five park benches around it. Fished a little on the way home and talked to a couple old timers there. They explained it was set aside for over 65s and under 16s. Don't even need your bucket to sit on. I)l be back there in the spring.

Mine was the lake I fished at, arriving each morning was an experience, seeing the water like a millpond, fish rising and ready for that first take on the lure. When I move to Texas will be finding something like that lake to have a new take on my fishing.

Ronnie, where are you moving to in Texas?
