Thanks for asking ! I am ecstatic
to be in my own place again, and
even more so with the low rent
for a nice place in a decent neighborhood ! Not planning to
leave anytime soon now that I've finally gotten my foot through the door - matter of fact, they'll have
to haul my carcass out of here
feet-first when the time comes !

Here are a few photos
of the new place !

Very nice looking place Big hope you have a lot of good years there.

Thank you to those who responded
to the photos of my new place ! It's small (530 sq. ft.), but it's all mine !
No roomies ! And my rent is beyond affordable - haven't seen/paid rent
this low since the early-'80s ! Being HUD-subsidized, my rent is only 30% of my gross monthly income !

Should be doing considerably more fishing this year than the last several years now that I will have more cash in-hand for gas and expenses -
hoping to hit Silver Creek again in
the spring, and would like to attend the M & G (if it happens) ! If it doesn't, there are plenty of other trips on the 'back burner' that I plan on taking - some of you may find me in your neighborhoods fishing my a** off !

You didn't need a lot of help, did you? Man that looks good, those scallops look to be perfectly prepared. I may have to go out and get me some. The commissary on Beale AFB always has yummy big ones like that at a very reasonable price and I usually have some in the freezer, but I think I've eaten them all and need to re-stock. Good excuse to go to the base. That and Kathe's ID will expire on her birthday - Valentine's Day.

In a fry pan, 1/2 butter and 1/2 veggie oil, that's so the butter doesn't burn. Brown one side, flip em and brown the other. Don't over cook! So simple yet so difficult.

Us buddy the only way

I'll go with Spirit on this one, or throw them on the grill on medium heat for a few minutes on each side (5 or 6 minutes total. You can baste them with butter or lemon juice while cooking if you want.

That sounds yummy , do you think they should be partially seared first and then wrapped or cook bacon wrapped?

If you cook with bacon don't sear the scallops you don't want to over cook them but you might want to microwave the bacon a little bit before wrapping the scallops so as it cooks before the scallops get to well done
