Around here, you are viewed by the insurance companies as at least 10% at fault just because you were there.

Right? That way they can justify a rate increase with a filed claim. They’re not gonna investigative anything for free.

I took it on the way home from getting a c***d test today.

What a coincidence.

We’re you sick or was it a pre-test for a surgery? Here they won't test you unless you have symptoms of c***d or you’re gettin ready to have a surgical procedure. No matter what google says.

Typical airhead. Her insurance wants your information because it’s her fault. By law supposed to exchange information. If don’t drivers license gets suspended. I was rear ended. I reported to insurance all that did the recorded phone calls blah blah blah. Got a letter in mail saying I had a warrant and license is suspended. Because I didn’t report to DMV. It wasn’t my fault. I got pretty ticked but once I reported and my story matched the warrant was dropped. They told me they want everyone to report because some try to change the facts on a report to not be the at fault party.

Now I know.

I've carried lots of wood that way over the years. a lot of time I would open the pasinger window and have the bords sticking out of both ends, and have carried lots of boards and beams on the roof of my car tied off and sticking over both bumpers some times you just have to do what you have to do. Although sometimes things go wrong like the time I was putting a 4" drain pipe inside my care had one end resting on the dash board and the other all the way to just inside the back hatch. I thought I had just enough space closed the hatch and broke both my windshield and the back window. You only do that once. or the time I was carring a 30' ladder on the top of my granada and in the middle of a bridge the ladder rotated 90 degrees crossing both lanes luckily go over the bridge before any other cars came by another lesson learned on securing a load. when you are starting off and have a family and only one car there are times you end up not having a truck.

I’ve overloaded trucks enough, humps on the highway would lift my front wheels, just a tap on the brakes to bring ‘em back or pulled stuff heavy enough it was wheelies getting them going but your 30’ ladder going cross ways like wings in possible traffic had to get your heart going….

That is trivial ! I saw a few 'i***t'
posts not too long ago - one
schmuck had a snowmobile
secured SIDEWAYS on the roof
of a Toyota, while another i***t
was towing a boat that was at
least THREE TIMES the size of
his car ! What do they think will happen in the event of a panic
stop, or what it could do to nearby vehicles and their passengers ?
Those were REAL candidates
for the Darwin Awards !

Everywhere, Beaverton, OR had a woman on the phone, run into the back of my truck while I was stopped at a red light. Crunched the front of her Honda steam coming out. Told her I couldn’t tell which mark on my bumper was hers, I was fine with letting her go. She started to freak “what about my car?”. Told her if she wanted call the police and explain how she ran into a stopped truck that was fine but I had things to do. She opted to not call them.

You could have offered her a shot
of 'Jack' to calm her nerves and
then call the police to report the accident !

The worst I have seen is a 4 door car with a couch stuffed in the back seat with the pass door open and sticking out about 3 to 4 ft. And this was on the freeway in San Diego mid day with a lot of traffic.
