¡Merry Christmas, right back atchya, smitty! ... A buddy of mine, had a wee Buick, years ago; he had a bumper-sticker on the rear bumper that read: "Buy American, or Bye-bye America!" ... As I was approaching the rear of his car one day, walking up his driveway, something "made me" bend over & have a close look at one of his tail lights... It said: "Made in Canada" on it!!!
had a 1980 e-150. company bought 5 of em. all had swing out side doors but mine; had the slider. i was in and out of that van all day every day [installed and repaired draft beer systems] bout a year or 2 in the door bout fell off: hinge on top wore out. nobody had the cheep-ass plastic hinge for the door. this was in albuquerque, nm. the van was made in canada[!?&#@!!!] i drove that piece of crap almost 3 months climbing in and out of the back doors
whacking my head and back multiple x daily. i was on my way to my office [[hogs breath inn] one afternoon and saw my vans twin brother goin down the road on the 'hook', front end demolished, both front doors smashed. followed it to a gas station, talked with the driver, and exchanged some 'product' for said hinge. and this one was metal. and the moral of the story: maybe stuff from china is crap; but not all crap comes from china
