Over the past few weeks my eldest grandson has called to chat with me three different times. He can never remember his name (I always have to guess it) and he is always on vacation in Boston and coming home soon. I have been playing along with this thinking the best way to harm a phone scammer is to waste his or her time as much as possible. I keep waiting for the hammer to drop and be asked for money.

However this morning it occurred to me that I might be outsmarting myself. Perhaps they aren't after money directly from me but are recording my voice through repeated conversations for some nefarious purpose. Who knows but in future I plan to no longer engage in conversation.

You might be on to something. They’ll use your recorded voice saying yes somewhere else.

Scammers callinh my number get
an earful of crap ! Repeat callers are told to keep calling so's I can track THEIR number and show up on their doorstep or in their office packing a magnum and a machete - nuisance calls have dwindled down from a
half-dozen a day to three or four a week !

Keep calling, you 'mothers' !
I'll find you eventually !

It's important that you NEVER use the word "yes" when you talk to them as they may record it and use it in a nefarious way against you ( credit cards, etc). Maybe not but maybe they will and it cost you. Be safe and Merry Christmas !!!!!!!!
