Glad you made it safely Food. My choice would be Highway Star, Deep Purple, and Golden Earring's Radar Love.
Good luck with the projects, but don't over do it.
First up. Handicap toilet. It's becoming bothersome to get up so far after doing the duty. 2 inches makes a big difference

Haven't digested the whole stage yet but just checking in.

Anytime I start talking about a long roadtrip, heading into bad weather and looking forward to it, please alert the mental health officials.
Made it anyway. More to come.
California has mental health officials? I’ll bet they stay busy...

Been driving to Kalispell Montana for over twenty years now, fourteen hours on the first day then twelve hours the next day.
Next time going to fly then rent a car.
Should cost about the same to fly if you consider the cost of fuel, food and one nights stay at a hotel.
Then we won’t have to drive through Salt Lake City, almost as bad as driving through Los Angeles.
Lava Hot Springs is one day drive on the way to all the western destinations. Gotta stop in LAVA.

Humming it to myself
AC/DC has plenty of tunes for adrenaline to keep one awake.

Hey, FF. What are ya doing up in my neck of the woods. Right now I’m in California visiting my folks and I’ll be headed back up north tomorrow. 14hrs.And all I listen to is the humming of the tires and whistle of the turbo…🐟on
Many years ago I had just upgraded my music collection from 8 track to cassets. As soon as that was completed they came out with CDs. I quit carrying my own music at that moment.
Whining of the tires and wind howling thru the ladder rack keep me company now.
A while back a stager asked where was lake Shasta? My smart a$$ reply was, beneath Mt. Shasta. Driving by on the way up, the light went on for me and I understood the question. That big beautiful lake had turned into a muddy puddle, side walls a least 20ft, water to treeline. In the area fires had raged thru leaving burnt sticks for miles. The news articles couldn't portray the amout of devastation that happened. Really saddening.

Yes, complete devastation along I-5 for sure. Actually saw two of those fires 🔥 burning on trips to California. And Lake Shasta is not much more than the Sacramento River running through it. It’s really sad to see…🐟on

Definitely gotta have tunes on a road trip..... but then, I am celebrating half a century since my purchase of a cassette of "Uncle John's Band" to listen to, on the way from Kansas to South Padre Island, for spring break.....we Deadheads gotta have our "Jerry fix" on road trips, for sure !
PS....FF...if you came up I-5, you passed within ~2000 yards of my place, as you entered Medford, Oregon. Honk next time !

Thanks,
Lots of nice places to stop along the way but the wife doesn’t want to stop at any of them.
We take the I-15 all the way to Montana, then from Butte the I-90 north.

If your on 15 Mccammon is about 10 minutes away. Mccammon has really good rodeos in summer. Usually 20 bucks for whole family . Can have your own food and whatever. We have had many family vacations in LAVA or it always was part of it for over 35 years now.
