I have one of those Lamiglas Kokanee rods. Never use it, I don't like that slow action. Probably works real well trolling, but about the only time I troll for trout is from my float tube with a fly rod and that's plenty soft enough.

Float tube or fly rod? I'm pretty sure the tube is a Caddis, the "U" type. I bought it like 20 years ago, on sale at Big 5. I think it was like 40 bucks or so. My favorite fly rod for trolling for trout is a 7 foot St. Croix 3wt that I bought from a dude who sells previously owned and refurbed bamboo rods. Got it for about 100 dollars. Nice little graphite rod.

Hello 27. I know you've mentioned your belly boat a couple times. I enjoy fishing in mine. Did you ever have one of the Styrofoam models? The canvass cover on my tube was rottting & getting dangerous so I bought a new one made of Stratham. That was early 70's. It was huge & hard to transport. Caught a lot of fish from it. Tight lines.

It's a lamiglas. I just went out in my garage and looked for it, found it, and the tip is broke off of it. Well, chit. Maybe that's why I never liked it? I don't remember doing that. Damn kids.
Funny thing about those lamiglas rods, that's the only rods that I've ever broken while fishing. I am not a big fan for that reason. Pretty nice rods. Til they break.

Speaking of broken rods do you know what ' High Sticking ' is? On my paper work with the rod it said don't high stick when fighting a fish or landing it because it could break the rod. What does that mean??

I believe they are referring holding the rod pointing straight up, so it's bent like a fishhook.
