You're right there bapa. I took my cuz one time in the spring. He didn't want to wear his. It's was uncomfortable I told him it was the law. I haven't taken him since. I wear auto inflatable. If I pass out n fall out or bang my head I won't be able to pull the cord. I have a huge respect for water n what it can do. I never get very close to dams. Catching fish isn't worth my life. 👍👍

Interesting. Dams scare the s^&% out of me. I know the guides go right up into the spillway on Brownly in Idaho. My brother said it was the best smallmouth fishing ever. Not for me. I don't like any fast water in a boat. From shore OK. From a boat, no thanks. In my youth I used to white water canoe and surf. I guess it left a lasting memory of the power of water. I am not interested in fishing just outside a surf break either.

I know what you mean bapa. I hate em. Here it's to rocky to approach dams from downriver unless you don't mind breaking things up. Get caught in the current n if it doesn't fire it's going to end badly. I get within 500yds I'm turning back. I've experienced the power of water. I have a very healthy respect for it. I almost drown once by being careless. Now my moto is get there n back safely. Catching fish just makes it better 👍👍

Thanks Rhyno. I don't mind fishing junk. The Lew's speed stick is 7'6" heavy. When gander outdoors went out of business I got 2 of them for $49 ea. The 7'6" n a 7'3" both hvy. I normally use med hvy but for that price hvy worked. I'll be near that state park today. Told wife I'm going to find a park ranger n if fishing the pond is allowed now I'll be back.
