Very serene setting! I'll bet the sound of that water coming over is quite soothing and I can feel the cool of the air in that proximity! I could see myself becoming hypnotized and missing a strike!

Thanks Hack. Fortunate to have water overflowing the dam regularly. I wish the same for all of the low water reservoirs I see out west. Here is a little more of my favorite fishing hole.
Oldest man made dam in Missouri. Dates to 1910. That is to form a lake. Smaller ones formed ponds for mills and mines.

That is one of the most beautiful and enticing spots I've ever seen. Thanks for the picture Jwid, I see why its your favorite.

Thanks Fredfish. Video from when there is a little more water than I can handle. Have to wait until the water drops a bit. Not sure if fish go over the dam or come upstream. Just that they are there and a blast to hook up with.

Well you guys got plenty of water. I presume this was taken on the opposite side.

Yes, my house is on this side and I can walk to the dam. The other side has better access to go below and I take the canoe to get there.

Holy moly! I remember seeing them when my Papa would take me to those ice cold creeks to look for arrow heads. I didn’t appreciate it as much as I do now. Thanks Jw.

Just found out I am going to have to talk my wife out of retirement. My house in St. Louis is getting a new Bass Pro three miles away. Wake me up. I must be dreaming.

Oh my gosh...that could be dangerous. If that was happening to me I'd deliberately move another 100 miles away just to avoid temptation! Of course I'm kidding! That's very cool! Having a "supply depot" just down the road!

Lucky dog Jw. Closest Bass Pro to me is about 20 miles. Probably a good thing though.

About 10 miles away is my current situation. Halfway to work. Which coming home or going to work aren’t good times to shop there. Now they’ve got me.

I got one 100 miles north in Myrtle Beach and 100 miles in Savannah Georgia. I would love 20 miles away.

It's always true Gordon that someone is always worse off than what you think you are. Looks like a BPS would be built closer than 100 miles.
