Howdy out there !
Most fish are found in the water. In Lakes, oceans, rivers and ponds.
You catch 'em using bait in those waters.

For freshwater, go to Little Pond or Long Pond in Plymouth. Go further south, Mashpee-Wakeby lake in Mashpee. East and West Lake in Halifax is large mouth bass heaven.

Almost forgot - Peter's Pond in Sandwich is overstocked with 4 different species of trout. All up and down the coast of Massachusetts is slamming with stripers. Chunk mack and sand eels work great. Two hours before to two hours after high tide are the best times for surfcasting.

Welcome to The Stage Kelly. I was born in Fitchburg and I know Mass Wildlife keeps their lakes and ponds well stocked. When I was a kid I used to do a lot of saltwater fishing at Salisbury,Seabrook, Glouster and Hamton NH. I envy you...lot's of good fishing in New England...I promise you.

Can you catch large mouth bass like this in Cleveland??? They sit at the bottom in amongst the lilypads and wait like assassins to strike at their next meal. There are fish in those lakes in Halifax, MA that are twice that size.

I heard (did not see) that a 16 pounder was taken out of the backwater at Horn Pond in Woburn. Hasn't been documented yet in Mass.gov site.
