Made it down to Zoar for a few hours this morning. Was partly cloudy an 76°@7:30 at the ramp, water at the ramp only 72°. Very slow start, only Rocky nibblers in my 1st 2 spots. Water level was surprisingly normal, but it was filthy. Muddy in places, lots of shreaded weeds and wood floating everywhere. Open hook baits were out, 2or3 cranks and you're dragging junk. Tried a deeper shady bank and got a decent Smallie and a couple featherweight Largemouth. Ran down to the south end and the water was much warmer, but not that active. Got bit off after a Heavy Bite, probably Pike or a Tiger Muskie washed down from Lillinonah last week. Also missed 1large Bass that threw a worm hook after a good run, taking 20yds of line before getting off.
Final score 1 Smallmouth 1.5lbs, 5 junior Largemouth,3 over a pound. Made it home before the Thunderstorms.

I think it's time to get new glasses Bobby, but thanks. Yeah it wasn't too bad out there, but 97% humidity is a killer .

Thanks Mike, better than a skunk anyway.
Still a productive day. It must have been some prolonged wind and wave action to stir it up like that. Check your intake for weeds and trash.

97%. Welcome to my world.
Sounds like a fun day, Fred. Some decent bass and a couple other heart stoppers. And you missed the storms, some pretty good thunder and lightning. I didn't get to Mansfield Hollow, I'll be going beginning of the week. Will let you know what I find out.
Wish you guys would send some of those storms to California we need the water.
Nice fish
Going out tomorrow morning very early before the jet and waverunners get on the water.
Good fishing 🎣 and safe times on the water

It was the tropical storm last Friday Four, we got 4" of rain in about 6 hours. All the rivers were over the banks and the lakes were over the dams. Some parts of the state are still flooded. We have already passed the wettest July on record , and its only half over.

We are over 51 inches of rain for the year. Heading to the record of 90 inches in 2016.
Good bass Fred, they'll taste good. Would love to know what the big one was that got away. You'll get him next time.
