They do let water out but not like the other lakes. It is a drinking water Res 🚰. It is a shallow Res. And with you boat you have to watch the depth of the water. They stock it with Trout and I have caught some nice ones !!
And it is not fished that hard. You can drive around 3/4 of the Res.
I enjoy fishing the lake it is about 30 to 45min from where I live in Modesto.
It is a hidden fishery.
I'd be glad to meet you their some time . Never fished for cats there but I'm sure they are there. Have caught Blue gills and 1crappie at the lake.
Have a good day
Andy

Never had a problem with party boats. There is a nice camp ground with full hook ups. I really enjoy fishing the Res. If I'm not fishing the big lakes around us. And the Res. Is very clean. And kept up and I have been checked several times by Fish and Game and I like that .
I'll meet you their any time if would like.
Going Sunday early in the morning with my buddy in his boat to fish . And to get off early before the heat and of course the weekend crowd!!
It you know how we do.
Good fishing and safe days on the water.
Andy

Use to fish for cats on the rivers but things have changed on the rivers here
Different kind of people that are hanging out on the rivers now.
Good fishing and have a great evening

Most of them in the upper jaw and a few in the bottom. Yea I know, my wife tells me I am not as funny as I think I am. Pine Mountain Lake, its a private sub-division in Groveland. My friend lives there so they let me in but keep a close eye on me.

Pine Mountain Lake! I used to deliver the Modesto Bee there 35 years ago. If I’d known there were fish like that in there I’d have taken my rod with me.
And you’re right, they are pretty strict in there about who uses the lake.
