Nice looking gills haven't got gills like that in a very long time.

I'd be interested to know how you get the big ones and avoid the little ones. That's generally the hardest part of fishing for gills.

Yes same place. I am sure they get bigger but they are the biggest I have ever caught. Wife and I went out to the arm of McClure where I been carp and catfishing to check the water the other day and it was a mud hole. Guess going to have to try to find another spot. I think the lakes are going to get real low this year.

Pure Portuguese luck. Skill has nothing to do with it.

We are about 70 miles from Modesto, depending what side you go on. So Modesto Lake I would say maybe 40 50 miles. Do they keep that lake full like they do Tullock and McSwain? I seen you caught some smallies, thought you caught them in Don Pedro . McClure, Pedro , and McSwain are just closer.

Most of them in the upper jaw and a few in the bottom. Yea I know, my wife tells me I am not as funny as I think I am. Pine Mountain Lake, its a private sub-division in Groveland. My friend lives there so they let me in but keep a close eye on me.

Nice gills Ranger, my favorites. Was out the other day and couldn’t find the big girls but it sure appears that you did!

They do let water out but not like the other lakes. It is a drinking water Res 🚰. It is a shallow Res. And with you boat you have to watch the depth of the water. They stock it with Trout and I have caught some nice ones !!
And it is not fished that hard. You can drive around 3/4 of the Res.
I enjoy fishing the lake it is about 30 to 45min from where I live in Modesto.
It is a hidden fishery.
I'd be glad to meet you their some time . Never fished for cats there but I'm sure they are there. Have caught Blue gills and 1crappie at the lake.
Have a good day

Not that far from Turlock Res. Just on the other side of the river.
