I think so YB. I believe that was the case last year with the woman who tied the state record for Pike. Pretty sure hers was 1oz bigger than the record, but the state is calling it a tie.

As was the LM caught in Japan. 1 oz bigger than the long standing record out of Georgia. End result... tie for #1.

That fish been on the internet for some time. A great fish yes but no record.

It is a 52 pound fish.

Real Nice Fish! I've caught Stripers in the 30 lb range and they were a handful to land, I can just imagine what kinda fight he had and how long it took him to land his Record Catch Nice FISHING keep it up! FISH ON!!🦈🐟💯💥😎

Catch and release big old fish don't taste as good as the bare limit fish does and why would you lie about your catch they should take away your lisence to fish for life and see how you like it what a shame to keep a fish as magnificent as that even at 52lbs come huh people like that give fishing a bad rap and you know who you guys are!!!!!!

What is this post about Old fish don't taste good I know All that who is that post directed to? I just posted something that said good catch and how it felt to me catching 30 pounders this has nothing to do with what I was saying, but anyway FISH ON! FISH SAFE!!🐟💯🙏👍😎

no you have to beat the current record holder. I agree that it may be a tackle record tho. (they only have a limited to apply for the record.) NFF tho!

Wasn't aimed at you Lamont. I would love to land a 30 pounder. One day I will make it to Chesapeake bay. Where did you catch yours. Love to see a picture i you have one. Gordon

That fish was caught in 2011 in Connecticut waters
