I like fishing for bass and trout. Great trout fishing on the Farmington river. Looking for some large mouth bass in my area. Anyone know of any lakes to try?

Welcome to the stage Rich, Bantam lake has a decent Largemouth and Smallmouth population, as well as panfish and Pike.
Lake McDonough up in Barkhamsted has Largemouth and Smallmouth, along with Trout. Are you fishing from a boat or the bank?

I'll be fishing from both. I went to lake McDonough over the weekend to check it out. Didn't fish though. Also looked at stillwater pond in Torrington. Both look great but you never know what is there. Thanks for the info !!
