Well them little rubber a**holes is what started this conversation. If you put a weedless hook on there wouldn't that be a weedless wacky rig?

Yes they have Weedless wacky hooks buddy. I thought you were asking about the post before yours, fishing regular plastic worms. In my defense, you didn't hit quote reply.
Wacky rigging usually uses "stick "type worms, with no flat or curly tail. Senko, Ocho, Shimmy Stick, Dinger,Stik-O, The General , are some of the different brand names. They're all shaped the same, pointy on one end, flat and fatter on the other. Panfish try to commit suicide on them also. Youngster bass too.

Yes they do Dave, I've had that pair for years. It's time to look for new ones though, a lot of the little dots are starting to fall off. I like them because they are long. They fit in the sleeves of my jacket and keep the cold breeze out.

Use to get them for free back when I was working. The oiler that would fuel my tractor would keep me supplied. Now I found them at Harbor Frieght... in a six pack I believe...🐟on

My first impression was that it was a billy club to conk your fish.

I ain't a bass fisher, and so am ignorant in the ways of wacky. Can't you just put the hook thru the worm?

Ya you can Spirit, but tears the worm up pretty quick. This setup is to save the worm for the next Bass. Looks like it might even work to me. I just usually tear the worms up

Yeah Able, you put the hook through those and its perpendicular to the worm 100% of the time. We'll see if they are strong enough not to tear if a fish grabs the end of the worm, and runs with it. I'll report back after I get to give them a good test this summer.

Howdy Fred. Glad you showed those new mustard rings. I had no idea about them. I use a lot of rings as I wacky rig everything. I have used 2 rings side by side in farm ponds. Some of those uneducated fish will tear a worm off a hook.

Yeah BC, I'm going to try them this year and see how they hold up. I've had fish pull the worm 90%out of the ring before, probably biting on one end and running with it. I was hooking the worm just a little, to put the hook at a 45°angle to the worm, and seemed to get more hookups. Hopefully with the new ones keeping the hook at 90° will be even better. We'll see how they work. Good luck and Tight Lines!

These are generally used for whacky worm set up. It puts the o ring on the plastic worm and gives you a little more life with the worm than if you stick a hook through the plastic.

I just want to "throw in another 2¢" = I've always had the best luck with black "rubber worms", when it came to catching LMB. I know others have their favorite colors, that AIN'T black; but, I've truly tried quite a few different colors.
