Ya, the only time I drink and fish is when I’m out in Tennessee on my annual fishing trip/visiting friends... That said, when at home here in So Cal, I never drink while fishing! I don’t surf and drink either😂

Steve. Catch that 10 and I’ll send you a bottle of single malt. !!!
OK.... I'm going to hold you to that!
Since I'm mostly a shore fisherman, intoxication isn't
really much of a problem; also, kinda hard to get intoxicated on one beer each ! I usually pack a small six-pack cooler for day
trips with four cans of soda, two bottles of water and 2 cans of beer; the beer is usually opened
to celebrate one of us getting a decent fish or having a really
good day catching ! Many times, the beer doesn't even get opened until we've already gotten home !
Also, I never operate ANY motorized vehicle, be it car, bike,
ATV, boat, snowmobile, Sea-doo, whatever, if I've had more than two beers within the past hour !
No drinking in the boat. I do love fishing and I love bourbon. When I get home from a hard day of fishing, I mix me a big 'un! And, that's always the most enjoyable and satisfying drink of all. I regularly have a drink every evening, but there is just something extra special about that one at the end of the fishing (or hunting) day. Maybe it's just the process of flushing all that water and Gatorade out of my body.

I find that food tastes so much better after being outside all day . Same with a drink

I have enough trouble standing erect stone sober . Especially on a pitching boat deck.
So what do you take Ben... to be able to stand erect all day long...🤷♂️😜🤣😂🐟on
You don’t need to get drunk nothing wrong with having drink while out on your boat anyway isn’t that why they make autopilots
Yes, auto pilots are great but must be watched. There was a story of a boat on auto coming back to Galveston from offshore. When it came to the "goodbye" bouy it hit it head on, it was doing too good of a job! Just Sayin...RJS

Pretty nasty business
Ouch, I drank Strohs in college in 1980. It was better than Old Style and Point Special, for sure. Not sure when they went under, or who holds the recipe.

That was a really good one, Ben. I wanted to repeat it at a party and couldn't recall it accurately enough. If it's not under copyright, please re-publish!
most of my trips are w my kids, 21,17 & 11. I think I'd b setting a pretty bad example if I was to crack open a beer,no adult beverages on boat
