Well, we are finally in a friend’s home safe and warm. It is no ours but friends from our Bible Study class who called and offered their home for us to crash.
This is Monday and we had been without electricity from around midnight Saturday. Our temperature was 42 degrees this morning and had been that low since the storm hit. My wife is more sensitive to the cold, so we’ve been under covers, or shivvering for a long time On Sunday night we had a ton of covers on our bed.
Finally, we got a call from friends inviting us to come and stay with them until we got electirity home. Houston and surrounding area has a lot of the city without electricity. So there are long lines for automobiles trying to buy gasoline, or folks trying to buy breakfast. This morning the one place we finally found that was open, but a long line. When we finally are up to get served they were out of coffee!
I was supposed to get my second Covid-19 shot today, but it has ben called off due to the general shutdown due to the unusually hard winter freeze. Just Sayin…RJS
