In Oregon we buy on-line and have an app on our phone to display the liscence.
Its pretty slick! I
As far as keeping the image on your phone, so a dead battery could be an expensive proposition?
In my wallet because in Florida for seniors it is your fishing license and hunting license. Awesome

Yep you’re right. Need to remember my cable and cigarette lighter adapter or print a paper copy.
So much for technology. 😝

That's why I keep in wallet also, I dont leave home without that.
Always kept mine in my wallet. Once I turned 65 only needed my drivers license.
In a ziplock baggie in my tackle box.
I’m in Oregon where the ODF&W introduced the option of having all pertinent hunting & fishing documents on our smartphone. Initially didn’t think I’d like it but have changed my opinion and prefer it!
In Oregon a fishing is just a piece of printed paper not a good idea to put it in your wallet so I just keep mine in a closes jar in my boat and you will never get caught without it.
When I used to go on a two month long camping/fishing vacation I'd loose my license often. I finally started printing copies in black and white with COPY in red ink. I'd then laminate them and carry the copy. The actual license was safely stored back at camp. I got checked often and stated that my actual license was at camp. To add to that I'd state that I PAID THE TAX. Never had a problem. I like the above idea to take a picture with the phone. I'm not ready to state its in my underwear; I did get a chuckle about it.

I used to keep mine in my wallet but now they're more like receipts instead of cards. Any suggestions?
EDIT: I'm from California so we have to carry it on our person whenever we're fishing.

I keep my license in my wallet along with my boating certificate, sometimes I fish in other peoples boat. My boat registration, paperwork is always in the dash box. When I'm on the water my wallet goes there also. If you are checked it's all in one spot, easy to get to. Keep fishing

I leave my wallet in the car but do have a photograph of both my drivers license and fishing license on my phone. Even our MVA is encouraging new drivers to feel a photo of their drivers license on their phone because so many teens lose their licenses but never the phone.
When I had to have a license I kept in wallet and a pic on phone. But now I don't have to have a license or trout stamp here in Missouri because I'm 100 percent disabled Veteran. I just show my disabled paper on my phone.
