Hey y'all. I happen to really like beef tongue.
My sister form Dallas and I wanted to but one a couple of years ago but the stores didn't have any OR they were way overpriced and huge. Didn't want to spend 30 bucks or so for one.

My grandmother made pickled deer tongue and heart and put those clear blue Ball canning jars. Never had the guts to try them, the visual was too much.

Not sure I would like it pickled, but boiled beef tongue is good.

After you boil it you have to peel the skin off it. Some people don't understand that. Then you just slice it crosswise and enjoy.

My Grandma tried to get me to eat a cow tongue sandwich, back in the mid-1960's... I was at a point in my life, to where I just couldn't bring myself to even try it. (I was helping clean-up and throwing hay bails, etc.; on the bordering Dairy Farm, by that point in X y so; ... Seemingly, ... Although hamburger &/or steaks &/or rump-roast y etc., where all OK by me; I couldn't bring myself to eat the tongue. (Seen too many of them functioning normally on a daily basis, I guess.)

Hey B22. I've been to San Blas too. Didn't eat those tacos but the fish tacos were very good.
It is a fishin village ya know.
Was there on my honeymoon. My bride wouldn't have even tried tongue tacos or it served any other way.
