Will do. I’m not sure how to donate but I’ll figure it out.

I'll let you know on the donating part. Shouldn't be too difficult.

Don't forget the Ding Dong, I want to help.
Let me suggest that whatever money is left over be used to helping him get his life back on track.

Nice idea. We thought about donating it to one of these sites that takes disabled vets fishing. Stay tuned ya ding dong for donating details.

I’m in, Greg.
As an additional option, the M&G in May (although still dependent on Covid) might be a good chance to arrange car-pool for him. I’m also working on multiple guides for the event for free or discounted rates. I have friends that fish one or both lakes regularly.
Whatever you come up with, I will help out. 🎅🏻

Thanks Randy. The response has been strong already. At least 15 people say they will contribute to make this happen for Bear. We talked about giving any money over the guide fee to a disabled veterans fishing charity. I will probably set up a Go Fund Me page. I'll let everyone know.

Dear FS friends - As most of you regular FS users know, a good friend of mine(Bear - is his nickname), had his 10 year girlfriend die from a massive stroke last week.

As you can imagine, he is really struggling with life in general right now. Bear loves to fish but lives in low income housing and has his own serious health issues.

We have discussed getting a guide to take us fishing but the cost is prohibitive at $300 for 4 hrs. With Covid and the loss of his girlfriend, he has had a rough time. He will also have to move soon for financial reasons.

We probably wouldn't fish until April or May, 2021.

We can fish without the guide off the shore. Here's my question: If I set up a GO FUND ME PAGE to help cover the cost of the guide next spring, would you guys contribute? No pressure. He's a great guy. I would just like to give him something positive to look forward to next year.

Thanks for your responses.
Dear FS friends - As most of you regular FS users ... (show quote)
