Help for a friend who loves to fish

Dear FS friends - As most of you regular FS users know, a good friend of mine(Bear - is his nickname), had his 10 year girlfriend die from a massive stroke last week.

As you can imagine, he is really struggling with life in general right now. Bear loves to fish but lives in low income housing and has his own serious health issues.

We have discussed getting a guide to take us fishing but the cost is prohibitive at $300 for 4 hrs. With Covid and the loss of his girlfriend, he has had a rough time. He will also have to move soon for financial reasons.

We probably wouldn't fish until April or May, 2021.

We can fish without the guide off the shore. Here's my question: If I set up a GO FUND ME PAGE to help cover the cost of the guide next spring, would you guys contribute? No pressure. He's a great guy. I would just like to give him something positive to look forward to next year.

Thanks for your responses.

Thanks Fly and Plum. I knew you two would be there. I will give my share. I've never set up a Go Fund Me Page before. Need to research it. Trust me, we will use the money for the guide and take plenty of pics. I will post details based on the response
