I have probably seen those two, myself, on Fourmile. It's one of my favorite lakes around here. Is it snowed in yet, Ruffplay? I know Lake of the Woods and Fish Lake got snow, but haven't heard if Fourmile was too deep to get in with chains.
For eagle watching, you live next door to the best eagle-watching place I have ever seen or heard of. Once counted over 60, and heard from a local that I "must have missed half of 'em" !
Sure a magnificent sight... gotta get over the hill again, haven't been there this year.

Well FixorFish, I believe with the amount on the hill by Lake of the Woods there would be snow at 4Mile but I’m not sure how much. I would think about a foot, but could be different. I go up to 4Mile for Mac’s, I only got 1 about 3lbs. out of two trips so I quess 50% is Ok with me. I had a great time when I was there, the lake only scared me a little when the wind came up, pretty big waves for me.

Got out on the Napa early and caught 3 fish right away. Kept 2 of those, 19 inches and 21 inches.
Caught a few more but didn't keep any of those.
Fished till 1:30 and finally caught 4 more right before we left. Last fish was 10.25 pounds and 30 inches long.
All in all we caught a dozen fish and 7 were keepers. We kept 5 of them.

Saw a BIG golden eagle today. Won't be able to see it unless you can enlarge the pic.
He was absolutely huge. Looked like he was 4 feet tall. When it flew away his wingspan looked to be close to 8 feet.
Seen lots of eagles before but none that big. WOW, SO AWESOME !

Great looking pictures. Thanks.

I watched a Bald Eagle land in the water on a fish today. The eagle floated on the water for about 10 seconds like a duck before lifting the fish out to a nearby rock formation. Never saw that before.

I saw one hit the water on a fish so big it couldn't get airborne and it looked like it was doin a side stroke with it's wing. I'm pretty sure it was a big lake trout.

Yes, big and smart. I watched a Golden eagle on steep hill side snatch a new born lamb, carry it far down the hill ( 100 yards )
far enough from mom that she never came looking.

Hey P65. We fish both. This summer we were fishin the main river bout 10 min run down river from Cuttings.
We were killin em, 50 to 60 fish days. One day we caught 75 between 3 of us in a little over 3 hours.
Last week we caught 12 or 13 there, still a good day for this time of year.

Nice pics and fish. Wish we had inland stripers in our neck of the woods and could fish open water all year round.

I'm glad we do. I use to fish for other fish more but have started leanin more and more towards striper fishin. For starters, even the little ones are usually the size of a decent LM or SM bass and they fight really hard and are great to ,eat if you like fish. Plus, on a good day we were catchin 60 or so fish in 3 hours. Some of them 23 to 24 inches or more and 5 to 8 pounds.

Hey BD. We troll either a 1oz rattle trap OR a Rebel fastrack jointed lure. They don't make the Rebels anymore but you can get them off E bay. We put out bout 180 feet of line and troll at 5 MPH.
The lures run down bout 8 to 10 feet. Depends on your speed.
I found it hard to troll over on the other side of Franks Track in the San Juaquin river. Too much stuff floatin down the river and we kept getting fouled up.
Are all the rivers that way over there?

That's a great work station you have. Beautiful fish. I'm probably wrong but it appears there is the barrel of a double barreled shotgun in your picture of the eagle. You have to shoot those fish? LOL. I'd love to see a golden eagle. We only have bald eagles in my area but they are awesome birds to watch.
