Busy this morning so I didn't get to the lake until about 2:00. I decided to fish the two mile bridge. Worked my way down without even a nibble. Got to the end of it and about out of daylight and see two guys in inner tubes using flippers on their feet for propulsion. I saw them catch 6 crappie in about 15 minutes.
So much for spending a lot of money on a boat and a lot more money on electronics. I guess you are either a fisherman or a person who spends a lot of time trying to be a fisherman.

Like I tell my grandkids ... You can use a cane pole and string ,and a safety hook, or you can use a $100,000 boat and equipment....Yer still just fishin....
We have all had those days. Don't get too dismayed, and remember , Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose and sometimes you don't even get to play in the game...Its just fishin life.

I call it practicing, Pappy and I get lotsa practice
My opinion, if you want to fish, go fish. If you want to maintain a motor and a hull and all the electronics and tinker and tow and launch and bring ashore and store - get a boat.
Not saying, just wondering. Could that advise have anything to do with your extended skunk?
