Well buddy, I've never really fished either one of them.
For us I'd rather go to Clear Lake, but Berryessa isn't bad either.

I’ve been dixon lake a few years ago, a small lake but lots of big bass out there.

Well, do you think that there is a reason that BASS fished Clear Lake, one of the biggest limits in BASS was taken during a tournament at Clearlake, the Delta is also a great place, once you get the tides figured out

Yep, it is one of the premier bass lakes in the country. Use to be #3 in the country. IDK where it stands now.

Let me know if you want to meet up at Clear lake sometime and I'll bring my boat and meet you at Redbud Launch ramp. That's the closest ramp to you. It's on the East end of the lake.

I was gonna say Clear Lake off the top of my head, not looking up anything. But you know? If you live anywhere in California, you're pretty much in bass fisherman's paradise. I doubt anywhere in the country has as many really good bass lakes. Smallies, LM's and spots - you can't go hardly anywhere that there aren't bass. Unless you're way up high. Then you have to settle for trout. Damn the bad luck.

Y'all can have California, I'll take Texas lakes, rivers, and ponds any day. Lots of ponds around here have 4-5 lb bass and occasionally larger.

Be a line watcher and you will be a fish catcher.

Proves my point. You can always tell a Texan. Just can't tell him much.

Look Spirit, I lived in CA for 30 years and have fished numerous lakes. Just keep your derogatory comments to yourself.

Hey that wasn't my comment, that's a quote from Mr. Willy Nelson, a born and raised Texan. Most Texans think that's kinda funny. I guess you don't have a sense of humor. I apologize. "y'all can have California". Well, thank you very much.

And while I'm at it, did you really think that you were going to be able to jump into a conversation about fishing for bass in California (the original question) with comments about us "having" California and how great Texas is, and not get a little flack back? Come on man.
