Agreed. The charter captains here in Costa Rica back down on the sails and the marlin very quickly to minimize the impact. Eaters not so much.

Had a similar experience during grad school...changed my way of thinking. Plus the prof poised a question to me in front of a bunch of fellow grad students. The fetus is alive from the instant the fertilization membrane is formed...

Sitting here trying to come back with some remark. Like the ASPCA commercials. All have some validity but how many people commenting ever thought about abortions??? That fetus has rights as a living organism.

That’s a little deep for someone who loves fishing. It’s a sport. Been around forever. It’s not even on the PETA list for abuse to animals and pets, which catching fish is neither.

Concur... I like to fish but what I like more is to eat them accompanied by a cold cold beer...
Never thought more than that about the feelings of a fish...

To me the whole reason of fishing is catching and eating them. If I didn’t like eating fish I wouldn’t fish for them. I didn’t like the taste of Doves so I quit hunting them, but I never thought about any feelings.

Hey Hack. I'm just the opposite. I don't really care for the taste of fish, BUT I love dove.

Me too. I just have to soak the fish in Franks Hot Sauce and then roll it in flour and fry for me to like it.

Saw, Dove tasted too much like liver and I don’t like liver. Had to eat it all the time growing up. So I figured if I don’t eat it, I don’t kill it.

Wow buddy, I don't like liver either. But I don't think they taste like that to me. Thank goodness.
Have you ever had them grilled with cream cheese and jalapeno pepper wrapped in bacon?

No I’ve never eaten them that way Saw. Before grilling, did you soak them in anything? I just chicken fried mine. Can’t believe you don’t like liver. If we didn’t have chicken, we had liver every Sunday. Have a blessed day today.
