Best place to live for fishing in the US?

With my company announcing working remote is indefinite, I have an opportunity to move anywhere in the US for fishing. What would you recommend is the best place?

Michigan. Great Lakes, 11,000 lakes, thousands of miles of rivers and streams. Everything from brook trout, pan fish to walleye, salmon, pike, Muskie and sturgeon. Do it all four seasons.

What do you like to fish for? And what kind of weather do you like? Wouldn't want to move to Alaska if you want to fish for bass and you hate cold weather. But if you like trout and salmon and you don't mind the cold, where could the fishing be better? Again, salt or fresh? Don't move to Nashville if you like to fish for tarpon or marlins.

Spirit hit it on the head. Don't choose places you cant stand. I, or one, cannot stand cold weather, so it would have to be termperate, to hot. So it would probably mean Salt water somewhere along the Gulf Coast. Just Sayin...RJS

It’s the South fork of Long Island, New York. People from all over the world come to Montauk to go fishing. Bluefish, striped bass, summer flounder (fluke), shark, tuna,cod, white marlin,....
Check it out online. There are private charter boats, big party (head) boats.
Just reading about it will give you a thrill !

Florida Keys ( salt ), Texas ( LM ), Thousand Islands ( St. Lawrence River, you never know what's on the hook)N.Y. Remember south of Fort Pierce you are in shorts and T-Shirt all year. I don't know of a state in this country you can't fish and have a great time, one more benefit we get from liv-in in the USA.

Sorry forget to add Montauk, stripers and blues are nice and I've caught way more than my share all I can say is come down and hook a tarpon even a 20 pounder you'll be happy.Snook are like LM,SM, but come in a larger size. What it all comes down to, throw a rod over your shoulder find water and go fishing.
