It’s Brass. It is a fishing reel posted on Fishingstage. Is this what you want to be told about it?

Found one very similar on eBay. Hendryx brass fly reel. Made about 150 years ago in England. Do I win it? PM me and I'll send you my address.

¡Wow! Looks like you've I.D.'d it. Just as I was "logging on", a few minutes ago, I was "picturing" that reel, in my mind & the thought that it might be a fly-reel had occurred to me... (I was remembering that the "tangs" used to attach it to a rod, were rather long, like my fly reel had.) ¿How on Earth did you manage to locate that rascal?

Well I thought it looked like a fly reel, so I went to Bing Images and looked at "vintage brass fly reels", saw one very similar made by Hendryx then went to ebay and did a search for Hendryx brass fly reel, and there it was. I got lucky. Careful what you look for at Images, especially if you're on a company computer.
