Glad to be of service. Now when does the boat leave the dock?

I recently watched Hank Parker catching some huge Redfish (? They had a spot on the tail) off the coast of LA. Do you fish for those?

Most definitely. Here are some of the more edible sizes. The bull reds are the breeding stock. Fun to catch but we release them.

I noticed they were releasing them but it sure looked like it was fun catching them. How do they taste? Good eating?
Personally, i prefer to eat saltwater fish. But I've never tried Walleye which everyone says are very tasty.

We can only keep one over 27 inches. If I do keep one that big I clean the blood lines from the filets, then cube it and make a redfish court-boullion. Great recipes on line. Or I leave the filet on the skin and grill it on the half shell. Season with butter, garlic, lemon and whatever you like. Excellent table fare.

We can keep 5 per man per day. 1 can be over 27 and all have to be at least 16 inches.
