Help Wanted... Urgent!
I have an immediate opening for a Industrial Electrian to cover my 2:30am to 11:00 am shift any day of the week. Must pass a short competency test, be old and ugly (a foolproof disguise to fool everyone that you are me ) and willing to work without any financial compensation.
Reports from the pro's practicing at Clear Lake this weekend for the upcoming 3 day open tournament is that the lake is absolutely on fire. Most boats reported catches of 50 to 100 bass yesterday. This news is the driving force creating the open position listed above. I promise to provide anyone who fills this position with many pictures of me catching bucketmouths at Clear Lake.
This position won't last long, so do not delay! Please, serious applicants only.

Same here except for the retired part. It’s so nice of you to even pay the entry fee. What a nice guy.

Like they say: Electricians do it without shorts!

We tell our lady clients, “ Let an electrician undo your shorts.” Don’t know if that’s worthy of the attic, basement or gutter, but there it is.

I'm a high voltage retired electrician from a utility company. Can I join your club?

Of course. I should be asking y’all. I’m still working.

I don't miss those 10 hour, 6 days a week of work, but the money was good.

I’ve spent the vast majority of my time in the chemical plants on distribution, switching, transmission, relaying and controls. Loved my job but it is demanding as you say. I’m on the downhill slide and mostly performing electrical thermography now.

Looks like we did a lot of the same things. We worked in electrical substations mostly. 4k to 500k volts.
We would also switch out distribution and transmission lines to work on the equipment in the substations.
We used to build the substations from the ground up but they started to sub that work out.
Where we worked the work was pretty diversified, we would also wire up the relays and the controls. That was my favorite job, got to work in an air conditioned control room. We got to bounce around to different jobs.
One of them was a wash rig that used deionized water to wash insulators that had up to 230k energized wires on them. We stood on the ground and shot water at the insulators with big water guns that shot the water out at 300psi.
Made your biceps big. LOL.
We had a big service area, from the Mexican border to into the next county north of us, Orange County. From the ocean to desert out east, Imperial County.
I don't miss the late night call outs.

Gentlemen, let's set aside our humble demeanor for a moment and just put it out there that electricians are all around good people.
I work at a manufacturing plant that makes the cans that hold all the food you see in grocery stores. Because the virus thing made everyone empty the shelves there isn't enough can for the upcoming harvest. Today was my 15th in a row and management is begging for 40.
One of you fine brothers needs to step up, so I can go fishing! Maybe I should just quit. There is always another job. But, how many 100 bass days are there?
