The little ones (shakers we call em) are plentiful, but hard to catch, they are nibblers and they like to eat and run.
Our size range is 28-35 slot, can't keep any under or over. The 2 main spawning areas on the East Coast are the Hudson river, and Chesapeake bay. The winter holdovers in CT are mostly in the Housatonic River. For me fishing in the winter happens on TV. These days are over.
