Thinking about growing one myself. Got this pesky skin cancer crap going on and will be asking the dermatologist if that would make for a good sun block. Next Monday i get my 3 month cooking and the face has to be clean shaved for the treatment.

Have friends that are and have gone through that crap. A couple of them have said that they were told that a beard would have been a good friend to them ( before it happened). Donβt know about now after the fact. Best wishes on that one Plum.

Yes- just another of lifes great mysteries and trials for us. Take care
It's great to see you back on the water catching fish. I'm sure you had a fun time. AT 75 degrees, I would, hell it sometimes, (lately) doesn't get below 80 at night. Good catch, but why not keep one or two for the table?
Great looking fish great job mine was a bust today
Got back up to the lake this morning, sunny and 79 at 10am, cool breeze out of the north.5 boats in line at the gate,10 more behind me,by the time the gate opened. Some big dark clouds passed through during the 4 hours I fished. Helped keep the temperature down, and no rain. Got 3more Largemouths,1lb 9oz, 1lb 7oz, and 1lb 14oz. Caught them all deep, and on different things.1st on a Powerbait jerk shad (fluke type), 2nd on strike king thunderkricket chatterbait, and the last and biggest one on a Powerbait General green pumpkin rigged wacky style. All released to grow BIGGER. My wife doesn't eat fish, and I'm not a fan of bass except Stripers, which we only have in saltwater here.
Nice going Fred. Are you going tomorrow as well?

No plum, back to work tomorrow. I'm going to take the last week of the month off,and do a little exploratory fishing in some places I've never fished. Most a an hour plus ride and have small ramps /parking areas. I'd rather check them out on a weekday when less people are out, than waste a trip to find a full lot.
Nice fishing. Great pics. π

Iβd say you had a very successful weekend! Nice job Fred.
Fred you said stripers are salt water only? Here in California they come up the rivers to spawn just like salmon and steelhead. They don't do that on the east coast? I know they're not native to California they were introduced here back in the 19th century, but seems odd they would change that drastically. There are also land locked ones here and in Nevada. In fact they're such a nuisance in some Nevada lakes there's no limit on em.
