Sounds like a crab-off is building for the meet&greet. Take your softest blues, freshest dungeness, biggest kings, hardest stones etc.

I have eaten Snow crab- spider crab-king crab-box crab-Japanese crab which are really local crab and Dungenese. I have never eaten blue crab or stone crab. Of all the crab I have tasted Dungenese is by far the best. My nieghbor from Maryland insists blues are the best.. I was was wondering what every body else thinks.

The best tasting crabs around here in Maryland are caught from the Chester River.

The ones I had While on the east coast claimed to be Maryland blue crabs. They were so sweet and succulent when prepared in Old Bay. Making my mouth water.

Nothing like a Maryland soft crab, floured and salt and pepper fried in butter with lettuce and tomato and a little mayonnaise, between two slices of bread.....makes the BEST sandwich.
For those who don’t know, you eat the shell also.

C'mon Oregon bro! You know Dungeness is the best. My uncle used to take the backs off before he'd steam/boil them in bay water to let more salt flavor into the meat. Melted garlic butter. Yum...

Coho, chinook, bottom fish, halibut, etc. mostly. Also local rivers and lakes. It is kinda a "salty site"! I fish with similar characters, so hope I can keep up! Thanks for the greeting!

Welcome NWnativechick, to the stage! I guess salty is one way of putting it, crusty better describes some. All good people thought, that will help whenever they can. Don't forget we love pictures!!!
