Reel livin you know we right no doubt. Army here also.
Always carry. Prefer to open carry. Many bad situations will not even start if the
Rif-Raf see that ya have a 'little help'. It goes concealed when in stores that ask not to open carry, but I try to avoid those stores (eg:WallyWorld).
Absolutely Doug. I have 3 to choose for wearing considering where I’m going. Road trips are 1911, in town 9mm, dinner PPK

New Jersey is impossible. Maryland is about as bad. Both states have adopted the basic precept of Hitler and Stalin to disarm the citizens.

You can get concealed insurance which gets you legal representation

Much agreed. But, this is the World we live in today. There are lots of good people out there, but the number of "Bad Eggs" are increasing daily... Be a Good Egg and protect yourself!
To answer your question, yes I carry when fishing. Legal or not. Some of the most dangerous places at times are secluded boat launches in Federal and State parks. Why, you ask? Because they know YOU won’t be armed. I carry concealed in my waist band.
Doug and cowboy you both right. Let’s go fishing, I’ll get the gun. Sad!
Living in the south, most carry, without a permit, some open, some concealed. I am building a deck in the back of the house, and I have one on me. I live in the country, and you hear gunshots most every day. I take mine fishing, for snakes, gators, and like the snapper I caught this past Saturday about 23 pounds.
Why is everyone talking about carrying a concealed weapon? Doesn't that beat the real purpose and make it a macho thing? Confused.

How many of us carry a handgun in our tackle? Whether it’s authorized or not.
I open carry whenever I'm fishing our streams up north. Took the upper stretch of the Brule last week with my granddaughter when a mama black bear and two cubs crossed the river in front of us. Last fall the same thing happened on the Ounce River. Nice to have it if needed.

It's illegal here. Lost all mine in a boating accident, anyway (wink, wink).
